Training Camp 2026

The Location: Tenerife – A Cyclist's Playground

Nestled in the Canary Islands, Tenerife has become a go-to training base for professional teams and serious amateurs alike. It's not hard to see why: the island offers long climbs (including the legendary Mount Teide), pristine tarmac, and a climate that remains temperate even in early spring.

Our Tenerife coaching camp is based in Costa Adeje, a well-connected coastal town with access to major routes and ideal infrastructure for riders. From here, we launch carefully planned daily rides that build your fitness progressively throughout the week.

Our Coaching Philosophy

Every PurpleVelo camp is driven by one core belief: coaching should be actionable, personal, and empowering.

We focus on improving how you ride—not just how far or fast. That includes:

Technical Skills

Understanding gear ratios and when to shift. Reading the road on descents and picking safe, efficient lines.

Physical Training

Managing heart rate or power zones on long climbs. Building a pacing strategy that works in real life—not just on Zwift.

Nutrition & Recovery

Learning how to fuel for a 5-hour ride without bonking. Evening debriefs give you time to absorb feedback and review ride data.

Who Should Attend?

You don't need to be a racer. Our camps are tailored to amateur cyclists who are:

  • Riding regularly (3x per week or more)
  • Comfortable riding 60–100km in a day
  • Eager to improve technique and gain structured feedback
  • Preparing for events with significant elevation

Whether you're a sportive enthusiast, an Ironman athlete in training, or simply a curious roadie who wants to ride better, you'll feel right at home.
