Our Origins
The Beginning
PurpleVelo was born out of a deep-rooted passion for cycling, travel, and the joy of curating unforgettable experiences on two wheels. What began as a personal journey quickly evolved into a calling—we started leading private cycling tours across the UK, US, and India, managing everything from logistics, planning, and route design to photography and ride leadership.
The Inspiration
With years of experience designing customized tours for other cycling travel companies, we saw an opportunity to create something more—more personal, more thoughtful, and more flexible. PurpleVelo is the realization of that vision: a cycling touring company built by cyclists, for cyclists.
Today
Headquartered in the UK, we now operate tours across the length and breadth of Europe—from the dramatic fjords of Norway to the sun-drenched shores of the French Riviera, from the Channel to the Mediterranean, and from the Atlantic coast all the way to the Black Sea. We believe cycling is the ultimate mode of travel—an environmentally conscious, soul-stirring, and perfectly paced way to immerse oneself in the world.
